The department is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative aspects of higher education in Sindh and manages more than 27 public universities, 8 educational boards and educational institutes. Two sections have been added.
At present, the Department of Universities and Boards under the Government of Sindh is recruiting suitable professionals for the posts of Chairman, Secretary, Director of Examination, Audit Officer etc. These positions are contractual for three years with the possibility of extension.
